Councillor Peter Mitchell (Chair)

Peter has worked in the private sector for over 20 years, and was Finance Director, and then Managing Director, of a large multi-million-pound retail company.  A former Chair of North Liverpool primary care trust and of the Alt Valley Partnership Board, Peter was elected to Liverpool City Council in 2010 to represent Croxteth ward. He was appointed as Mayoral Lead for Parks and Open Spaces, in charge of all of Liverpool's Parks, in 2012. Peter is Chair of the Big Help Project and of Cobalt Housing.

Dr Barry Cooper

Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Barry has vast experience in leadership, and of working in communities within deprived areas. He has worked as a church leader in various locations in Merseyside and beyond, and for Liverpool Council for Voluntary Services in Development role, prior to founding the Big Help Project.

Mr Ged Gibbons

Ged spent over 30 years in local government across Merseyside, and has held senior positions in events management, sports development, marketing & communications, and Town Centre Management.  Ged retired in 2014 and established 'Gg Consultancy', and is now working on projects in the UK and in Europe.

Mr Andy Myers

Andy has a wealth of experience within the third sector. Now retired, he worked for over a decade at the Big Lottery as a Regional Manager. Prior to his time at the Big Lottery, Andy worked as a Head of Information Services within the further education sector.

Councillor Lana Orr

Lana became one of Liverpool's youngest ever Councillors when she took office in 2012, at the age of 23. She currently represents Labour in the West Derby ward. Lana holds the title of Mayoral Lead for Primary Schooling across the city, and was heavily involved in the Liverpool City of Readers project. She is a skilled researcher, having worked with the Vice Chancellor of Edge Hill University, and currently within the office of MP Stephen Twigg.
