Our Trustees Councillor Peter Mitchell (Chair) Peter has worked in the private sector for over 20 years and was Finance Director of a large multi-million-pound retail company and then went on to become Managing Director in 1995. A former Chair of North Liverpool primary care trust and of the Alt Valley partnership board, Peter was elected to Liverpool City Council in 2010 to represent Croxteth ward. He was appointed as Mayoral Lead for Parks and Open Spaces in charge of all Liverpool's 47 Parks in 2012. He is Chair of the Big Help Project and of Cobalt Housing. Chris Clifton-Brown Chris has a strong sales background, currently owning and running his own sheet steel business, following over a decade of experience in the steel sector. He is an experienced church leader, having spent nine years as an elder of Gateway Church Leeds, and currently leads Freedom Church Liverpool, which he helped to plant in 2013. Ruth Cooper Ruth has managed a successful childcare business in Kirkby for the past eleven years. She has a passion for providing quality and affordable childcare for children from the age of two to eleven, working in partnership with local schools to provide wrap-around care. Ruth has over 30 years of experience working in communities in areas of high deprivation. Colette Goulding Trading Manager for Big Help Trading, the wholly owned subsidiary company of the Big Help Project. She has helped to set up and establish the organisation's five shops, and has a passion for providing high quality retail options which provide a source of sustainable income for charitable activity. Her previous experience includes working for major national companies, including Barclaycard. Dr Mike Hedley Mike is an A and E Consultant based at Whiston Hospital. Born and raised in the local area, he has committed himself to living and working in Merseyside and is passionate about alleviating poverty and poor health in the City Region. James Judkins James is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years' experience in finance. James has previously served on the board of a human rights orientated charity as both trustee and treasurer and is currently Head of Financial Management for the Sovini Group, a large diverse set of entities including charities, housing associations and commercial companies. Andy Myers Andy has a wealth of experience within the third sector. Now retired, he worked for over a decade at the Big Lottery as a Regional Manager. Prior to his time at the Big Lottery, Andy worked as a Head of Information Services within the further education sector. Councillor Lana Orr Lana became one of Liverpool's youngest ever Councillors when she took office in 2012, at the age of 23. She currently represents Labour in the West Derby ward. Lana was heavily involved in the Liverpool City of Readers project, and is currently Cabinet Member for Business and Skills, and Chief of Staff for the Vice-Chancellor of Edge Hill University. She is a skilled researcher, having worked with the Vice Chancellor of Edge Hill University, and currently within the office of MP Stephen Twigg.
