The Big Help Project is building new relationships with the region’s business community this month, with the announcement of their Charity of the Year partnership with the UK ColorMatrix operations of multi-national company PolyOne Corporation.

PolyOne, which has facilities in Knowsley and Widnes, manufactures innovative solutions for the polymer industry with sites in Europe, Asia, South America and the North America.  The Community & Charity Committee at the Knowsley site chose the Big Help Project as their Charity of the Year after learning about the work it does to alleviate and eradicate poverty across Knowsley and the city region.

PolyOne ColorMatrix Community & Charity Committee Chair Greg Jennings said: “We are really excited to be supporting the Big Help Project as our Charity of the Year 2018-2019. They provide so much support to the local community, and we look forward to working with them to help make a bigger impact over the coming year.”

Michele Duckworth, Fundraiser at the Big Help project, said “It is an honour to be named PolyOne ColorMatrix’s charity of the year, and we look forward to working with them over next twelve months. We have always been proud of our Knowsley heritage and the fantastic relationships we have with the local business sector, and we are delighted to announce this new partnership with PolyOne ColorMatrix today."
