Include-IT Mersey is an exciting new project that provides a free, personalised package of support to help clients improve their IT and online skills. The Big Help Project delivers Include-IT Mersey at the Northwood Community Centre in Kirkby. Include I.T. Mersey works as part of the wider Next Steps employability support program, meaning that as well as help with improving I.T. skills, clients receive 1-2-1- support with Jobsearch, interview techniques, completing application forms and confidence building.

Digital Inclusion-why it matters

Employers are increasingly expecting applicant to have basic I.T. skills. There are many reasons why a person may not have I.T. skills-people who have left education some years ago, or who have been out of the workplace for a long time, may not have the basic skills employers are looking for. Include I.T. Mersey, and the Big Help Project, are committed to helping people overcome these and other barriers to employment, so that they are ready to bring their own, unique skills and talents to the workplace.

Funding

Include Mersey I.T. is delivered free to all clients, regardless of circumstances. Include I.T. is jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund as part of its 2014-2020 Building Better Opportunities Programme.
